Oi! Mates! Hope your weekend went beautifully and a big thanks to all of you who stopped by at Sugar Hill Market on Sunday to support my work and other local designers and artists at La Maison d'Art. It means a lot and I totally appreciate you for it. Hope you're rocking your new Mawusi pieces in fun happiness and confidence. ^_^ Here are some photos for those of you who could not make it. I got lucky, again, and got a gorgeous space!
The Kayilala is one of my favorite pieces from my SS 15 collection. It is minimalist and light yet it maintains a bold look and presence. Inspired by the song Kayilala sang by Dipo girls at their coming of age ceremony, this necklace combines the simplicity of childhood and the elegance of adulthood. It is also an elegant alternative to the prayer beads, for those who prefer softer jewelry.
Made with 100% cotton yarn and upcycled beads, the Kayilala comes in a very limited run.
And you have 7 color combos to play with. Let me know your choices and I will happily make you a beautiful Kayilala.
